In a project created for CIS 400 (Social Media and Data Mining), I analyzed the 5 most-popular reciprocal friends of a user and then their distance-1, distance-2 , etc friends to create a Social Network of at least 100 nodes.

I was born in Uzbekistan in the year 1999. My family moved to Ukraine when I was 3 and then when I was 11, we moved to the United States of America to find a better life and permanent residence. In the year 2016, we were able to achieve the latter by becoming citizens of the USA. Therefore, I am currently working on the former, finding a better life. Getting my post-secondary education was something that wouldn’t have been possible for me to achieve in Ukraine so coming to the USA, I was able to explore many more options in what I wanted to do and who I wanted to become. Backtracking a bit, when I was 6 years old, my mother bought our first family computer and I was amazed at the numerous things this big cube of wires could achieve. My fascination with engineering only grew whenever something in the house was broken and my parents called in a mechanic to fix it. I wanted to be the guy who fixes things when they break. Now being in the United States of America in grade 6, it was tough learning a new language, making new friends, and adapting to the new culture overall.
